What is the best part of your job? What do you find fascinating about it?
The best part of my job is that it consistently brings new challenges and gives me the opportunity to learn something new every day. In the Nursing business unit, we’re always focused on enhancing the quality of service we provide to patients while keeping our nurses engaged.
What I find most fascinating is how quickly the organization and our team have grown, and how that growth fuels continuous improvement. Working with a team that is action-biased, creatively resourceful, next-minded, and enterprise-powered, we’re always looking for ways to be better than we are today. I also enjoy hearing about new initiatives from our teams and how they can increase productivity and efficiency.
What is your superpower? What is your expertise in the healthcare industry?
I take pride in responding to my team in a timely manner. I’m committed to meeting my team’s needs while also supporting the needs of the enterprise. My expertise is in nursing administration and operational leadership.
How do you foster a positive work environment within your team?
I value open dialogue and transparency with my team members. I strive to respect each person for their contributions to the overall team, to give individuals credit for their ideas and impact, and to thank them at every opportunity I can.
How does your team help create healthier futures for Canadian patients?
My team provides frontline care to our patients every day. We need to ensure all pertinent training and updates are delivered in a timely manner. Ensuring we administer the right medication to the right patient, and consistently provide high-quality care, is essential. Our nurses are the face of the company, and it’s important that they feel respected, engaged, and committed to our guiding principles.
What do you do when you are not working?
When I am not working. I value my time with my family and friends. I love to cook, bake and travel the world.
