We understand that starting a new medication can be stressful, especially if it requires the support of a nurse at an infusion or injection clinic. Across Canada, every clinic in our network is owned and operated by Innomar. That means that from Whitehorse to Windsor, or St. John to Saskatoon, every InnomarClinic is an inviting space for you to get support during treatment.
"Most importantly, over the course of treatment and support, we get to see people return to their lives."

Preparing for your appointment
We know that starting a new treatment regimen can feel overwhelming under the best of circumstances, especially if it includes an injectable or infused medication. That’s why we take such care to ensure our InnomarClinics are welcoming spaces, staffed by qualified nurses who will support you every step of the way. Taking a moment to learn what to expect at your first appointment will help you feel even more relaxed when you walk through our doors for the first time.
Before your appointment
Be safe
Before your appointment, if you feel ill, are sick, or have been in the hospital since your last appointment, please call your case manager. They will make sure that it is still safe for you to go to the clinic for your scheduled appointment.
Before your appointment
Be comfortable
We recommend that you dress warmly and in layers to make sure you’re comfortable during your treatment. If you are coming to the clinic for an infusion or injection, wear loose-fitting sleeves so that your nurse can start your IV or give your injection easily.
Before your appointment
Be hydrated
Drink plenty of fluids on the day prior to and day of your appointment. Being well hydrated will help your nurse find a vein easily, and will help you feel better during and after your treatment.
During your appointment
Something to do
All our clinics are equipped with comfortable infusion chairs, access to WiFi and reading materials. Feel free to bring along something to read or watch on your own device as well.
During your appointment
Something to eat
Most clinic locations have coffee, tea and water. We encourage you to bring a lunch or snack if your scheduled appointment is longer than three or four hours.
During your appointment
Something to remember
As a courtesy to other patients and our clinic staff, please be sure to arrive on time. InnomarClinics are scent-free. Please do not wear perfume, cologne, or other fragrances to avoid negative reactions in those with sensitivities, allergies, asthma and other medical conditions.
After your appointment
Stay a while
You may be asked or required to stay in the clinic to be observed for side effects or drug reactions for a short time after your medication is finished.
After your appointment
Stay safe
Most patients feel just fine following their appointment, but some people feel tired afterwards. For your first appointment, we recommend that you plan to have a ride home, at least until you know how you feel after getting your treatment.
