What is your role and what are your duties at Innomar Strategies?
I provide expertise in Health Canada adverse event reporting requirements. my team can meet all industry/regulatory requirements for adverse event requirements and medical information on behalf of the customer. As Senior Director, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information, I oversee the team that speaks to Health care professionals and patients to ensure the safe, appropriate use of our products. My pharmacovigilance team ensures that any adverse events that any Cencora team member becomes aware of is reported within our timelines.
What is your superpower? What is your expertise in the pharmaceutical field?
With over 30 years of experience in MI&PV I provide knowledgeable advice and implement processes to compliantly collect adverse events.
How do you foster a positive work environment within your team?
I foster a positive work environment by training and supporting the team and trusting in them to get the work done while also ensuring that compliance is monitored on a continuous basis.
How do you stay ahead of industry trends and collaborate with external partners?
Through regular conversation with clients and industry experts I maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and challenges.
How do you integrate feedback into your work to continuously improve?
Through regular audits and conversations on the changing environment, we look at our own internal processes that are continuously improving.
What do you do when you are not working?
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling with family and friends as well as going on walks with my dog.
Larry Hough has a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and a MBA from McMaster University. Larry joined Innomar Strategies in April 2022 as Senior Director, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information. Larry started as a retail and hospital pharmacist and soon moved to the pharmaceutical industry Senior medical leader with a proven record of optimising the use of Medical Communications and Pharmacovigilance resources to compliantly maximize customer satisfaction. Delivers sound medical expertise to support successful product launches. Brings forward natural leadership ability, coaching, directing and mentoring staff/colleagues in dealing with regulatory, media and public relations issues.
