Pharmacy Technician
Position type: Full-time, Burlington Office
Work schedule: Flexible within hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am-8pm
Working under the supervision of the Senior Manager and Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician assumes responsibility for supporting the Pharmacists in the preparation of prescriptions, maintenance of drug inventory and cash control systems. The Pharmacy Technician coordinates departmental quality assurance and other customer-focused services with supervisory staff. Additionally he/she interacts with Internal and External Clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Pharmacist in labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions;

Enter prescriptions into the computer;

Schedule and maintain workflow;

Screen calls for Pharmacist;

Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents;

Order, maintain and prepare inventory of medications;

Receive inventory;
-
Review invoices or other documentation;

Pack and ship prescription orders;
-
Other tasks as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent;

Certification through OCP preferred;

2 or more years of related pharmacy experience;

Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;

Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently;

Excellent time management skills;
-
Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy;

Strong proficiency in Kroll required;
-
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word; and
-
Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
