BILINGUAL CONSULTING ASSOCIATE
 
Position type:          Full time, Permanent
Location:                 Burlington, ON
Work schedule:   Flexible within hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am-8pm
 
Reporting to the Manager, Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance, the Consulting Associate is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the department. The Consulting Associate is responsible for maintaining compliance with all safety legislation. As a part of the Consulting Department, this position may be required to assist with other Consulting projects on a needs basis.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Research: Day to day operations for all Phase IV clinical trial activities, including but not limited to: physician recruitment (telephone and fax campaigns), site management, reporting, sponsor communication, trial master file maintenance, and management of ethics approval;
  • Medical information: Receive and develop standard response for all medical information requests, complaints and customer service requests received via email and toll-free telephone service. Refers all non-standard response requests to the Manager. Submits all written response for approval prior to sending to client;
  • Pharmacovigilance: Receive and document all reportable safety events in compliance with SOP/protocol and applicable legislation. Requests additional information or clarification as necessary. Submits all documented reports to responsible medical personnel and to the Manager for review;
  • Work directly with external clients; and
  • Ad hoc support for consulting department.
 
 
Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in clinical research with safety reporting experience, or equivalent and related experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or diploma in life science;
  • Bilingual, English/French is required;
  • Knowledge of all essential documents for clinical trial;
  • Familiar with Canadian drug safety legislation; and
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

   

BILINGUAL ASSOCIATE PROGRAM MANAGER
Position type:       Full time, 1 year mat leave contract
Location:               Burlington, ON
Work schedule:   Flexible within hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am-8pm
               
The Associate Program Manager (APM) is responsible for assisting the manager in undertaking the management, planning and implementation of specific projects assigned to him/her, within the Reimbursement department. Projects are to be implemented through a caseworker approach, based on an internal program structure. It is important to note, that at all times the Innomar Patient Access Center should work as team and the overall performance of the PAC as a whole is paramount.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of reimbursement cases;
  • Ongoing maintenance of the assigned projects;        
  • Monitoring:
  • Protocol adherence;
  • Documentation in case files (electronic and hard files);
  • Database use and accuracy of information collected;
  • Phone calls for accuracy of content and telephone etiquette;
  • Participation in client consultations and working sessions in collaboration with the manager or in the manager’s absence;
  • Identification of training needs based on monitoring and lead refresher training as required and determined necessary in collaboration with the manager;
  • With the manager, participate in the hiring and training process of new staff;
  • Identification of needs for modification of program database, protocols and current processes;
  • Daily and on-going client project communications;
  • Assistance and back up to the manager; and
  • Client reporting.
 
 
Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare-related industries;
  • Bilingualism (French/ English);
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task;
  • Demonstrated organization skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Outlook;
  • Project management experience is an asset.
